David Green uses EMSI’s labor market analysis to create regional reports that serve as a resource for local chambers of commerce, legislatures, school districts, libraries, and other stakeholders. Each report provides a snapshot of the local region that includes demographic trends, population growth, educational attainment, and industry growth and concentration. Green also uses EMSI’s web-based tool, Strategic Advantage, to identify key occupations in each region based upon their projected growth and wages. Through these reports, the Texas Comptroller’s Office is able to connect with each region and provide key data for economic growth. “Strategic Advantage provides me with the labor market information I need in a fast, flexible interface,” Green says. “Having all of the data in one place saves me time and makes the reports consistent across the state.”
