University of Idaho Releases Details of EMSI Impact Study

EMSI recently completed an economic impact study for the University of Idaho, a land grant institution in Moscow (where EMSI happens to be based). The results showed UI contributes nearly $935 million to the state in added annual income, nearly 2 percent of the state’s total economy.

Here’s what UI President Duane Nellis said about the EMSI study:

The University of Idaho may be the best investment one can make in a strong state of Idaho. Earlier this year, we commissioned one of the nation’s leading economic modeling firms to do an independent study of the state of Idaho’s return on its investment in Idaho’s land-grant university. I believe an independent review is instructive and serves as necessary stewardship in our partnership with the taxpayers of the Gem State.
