This month O*NET, or the Occupational Information Network, has revamped its O*NET-SOC 2009 taxonomy to include 153 additional new and emerging occupations. These are within 17 industry clusters that O*NET identified as being “in-demand.”
Many of these new titles are already included for EMSI users in Economic Forecaster (under the “Occupation” tab and “Groups”). But the new green-focused occupations (e.g., Wind Energy Operation Managers) don’t have data or competencies tied to them as this point, so they are not in Strategic Advantage.
