The highest-paying career, petroleum engineers, also requires on average the highest level of education (a bachelor’s degree). The most growth through 2013 — both for new jobs and new/replacement jobs, which factors in annual openings as the result of turnover (e.g., employees changing occupations, retiring, etc.) — is projected to come from dental hygienists.
