According to Kevin Long, Senior Planning and Policy Analyst in the Office of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness at Montgomery College, the college purchased Career Coach through its Workforce Development and Continuing Education Program as an initiative related to economic development under its new 2020 Strategic Plan.
Primarily, Montgomery College will use the tool to ensure that relevant regional workforce needs and competencies are reflected in its programs and curricula. In turn, Career Coach will effectively market these institutional offerings to current and prospective students and members of the community.
BIO: Kevin Long serves as a Senior Policy and Planning Analyst in the Office of Planning and Institutional Assessment at Montgomery College in Maryland. He is responsible for coordinating the college’s strategic planning process, conducting environmental scans, providing leadership in managing collegewide policies and procedures, and developing program reviews and assessment. Kevin also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Public and International Affairs Department at George Mason University, where he teaches undergraduate courses in state and local policy, metropolitan politics, constitutional law, and judicial process.
