On Monday, March 24 and Wednesday, April 9 at 1:30 p.m. EST we will be hosting identical webinars about “Data-Driven Career Pathways.” These events are co-sponsored by Pennsylvania Workforce Development Association, the California Workforce Association, the National Fund for Workforce Solutions, and the National Network of Sector Partners.
The cost for the 45- to 60-minute program is $25. Register with the PWDA.
Summary: Scott Sheely, executive director of the Lancaster County Workforce Investment Board, will lead this hands-on presentation of a model that was developed and is being used to supplement industry analysis with a more occupation-based look at career pathways. Sheely will demonstrate the steps in the process that led to a top 100 occupations document, profiles of pathways for the local area, and ultimately a Skills Acquisition Chart that forms the basis of service delivery planning. Information gleaned from this process can also be used to train career counselors in a variety of contexts as well as to provide a framework for the planning of curriculum.
