Client testimonials: What are others saying?
“The information was valuable to helping our advisors understand the validity of the Career Coach data. It’s critical that they trust the data…. I think the purpose regarding validity and trust would be a great way to explain the ‘why’ to many end users. Our team was expecting a hands-on ‘this is how to use Career Coach with students.’ What they received was just as valuable and I needed to help them see that perspective.” – Patricia B Parma, District Director of Student Success Initiatives, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Success, Alamo Colleges
“Walla Walla Community College staff members from both student services and research & planning participated in a fantastic face-to-face Career Coach/LMI Certification training with the EMSI team. Student services staff came out with an improved understanding of overall labor market information, and were able to integrate that knowledge with use of the Career Coach application to better serve students searching for career interest and high demand industries as they plan their educational pathway. Retention specialists and completion coaches are better prepared to assist students in making these smart career decisions after the training. The research & planning team completed the training with increased ease of access to relevant and timely labor market information, allowing staff to more easily articulate regional workforce demands to leadership, as well as an improved ability to monitor alignment of college workforce programs with those needs.” – Kristi Wellington-Baker, Director Retention & Student, Walla Walla Community College
“The Career Coach training was incredibly helpful to the staff at Raritan Valley Community College. Our primary focus at the college is on student success and providing guided pathways for student achievement. Being able to help students learn about career choices is a powerful motivator to help them reach their educational and personal goals. It is wonderful to be able to sit with a student and help them explore career options, identify in-demand industries, locate local employment opportunities and determine educational requirements. Knowing that all the information you are providing is in real-time and verifiable is a tremendous asset. Through EMSI’s Career Coach on-site training, Raritan Valley Community College was able to certify over a dozen employees. This was a great professional development opportunity for our staff. In one day they became proficient in the use of the Career Coach methodology and how to get the most out of Career Coach. It was a collaborative leaning experience that everyone benefited from. I would highly recommend the EMSI Certification training!” – Jacki Belin, VP for Strategic Programs and Development, Raritan Valley Community College
