Kansas Independent College Association (KICA) President Matt Lindsey recently joined EMSI economist Aaron Olanie in a conversation about how KICA successfully used economic impact data to maintain visibility, encourage student and community engagement, and increase student aid funding.
“We knew that if we were going to be able to compete on a political landscape with the more well-known and more heavily supported public institutions, we would need to become armed with some better facts and particularly some facts that spoke to the audience that we face in the legislature,” Lindsey said.
But the heart of this webinar is about how KICA translated those facts into a memorable and influential marketing campaign. In this brief conversation, Lindsey demonstrated (through concrete examples and images) how KICA attracted positive attention from the media, the state legislature, and the local community by showcasing its economic impact in a variety of marketing materials, including an infographic.
