MOSCOW, ID, January 17, 2017 – Emsi is pleased to announce the release of powerful new data that provides colleges and universities with unparalleled insight on the location, employers, and job titles of their graduates. Alumni Outcomes, derived from an aggregate set of 107 million professional profiles, will give research, development, workforce, and academic affairs professionals the following data points regarding their graduates:
- Job title or occupation by O*NET
- Alma mater
“For years, colleges and universities have asked if we could help them understand where their alumni are and what they do,” said Emsi CEO Andrew Crapuchettes. “Now we can. This is a huge part of the value equation in higher ed, and we are thrilled to add Alumni Outcomes to our existing labor market data capabilities.”
Traditionally, determining where alumni live and what jobs they hold has been an expensive, cumbersome task requiring in-depth surveys that receive only middling response rates. Emsi’s new data will help answer these questions quickly and efficiently, saving colleges time and ensuring more thorough results.
In addition, the new data in Alumni Outcomes will help colleges address issues concerning the gainful employment of their graduates. At a time when college programs are under intense scrutiny, Emsi’s latest data release will lend authoritative analysis for colleges demonstrating the real-world value of their programs.
“In an age when people are questioning the value of higher education, it’s great to have a dataset that visualizes how graduates are using their college education in the real world,” said Rob Sentz, chief innovation officer at Emsi. “Alumni Outcomes will complement our current data and shed more light on everything from program development in higher ed, to talent attraction and workforce availability in economic development, to recruiting in talent acquisition. We couldn’t be more excited for 2017.”
