Webinar Recap: Distance Learning & Student Support

6 Higher Ed Leaders Discuss Academic Advising and Distance Learning

March 26, 2020 by Alex Doyle

Recent events have pushed virtually all of higher education to move their programs online–including colleges who hadn’t planned on making that move for quite some time. This rapid shift to distance learning has highlighted some of the distinct advantages of online programs, but it has also created new challenges for those who provide advising and offer student support services. In this webinar we’ll discuss career and program exploration, resume building and employer engagement: what do these processes look like in a virtual setting? How does distance learning affect teaching?

On April 2, we hosted a webinar with a panel of six higher education leaders from across the country, who shared and discussed their ideas and approaches to academic advising and other issues.

If you missed the webinar or would like to share with a colleague, see below for the full recording, outline, and resources mentioned.
