Introducing: Agile Program Management

New ebook helps institutions develop and maintain in-demand programs in an ever-changing market

July 27, 2021 by Remie Verougstraete

Demographic, economic, and technological shifts are disrupting how we live, work, and learn. Colleges and universities now have the opportunity (and responsibility) to help individuals navigate these transitions. But first, higher education must make a transition of its own: from the status quo to Agile Program Management (APM, for short).

In our newest ebook, we define Agile Program Management and provide three strategies to help institutions put it into practice:

1) Continuous market research

2) Incremental curriculum improvement

3) Iterative program development

Why agile?

Higher education is not the first industry to confront the challenge of operating in a complex, unpredictable environment. Over the past few decades, agile principles have transformed the way people work on everything from marketing to construction.

In this ebook, we explore how these proven agile principles apply to the essential work of aligning academic programs (both new and existing) with the rapidly evolving needs of today’s learners. After all, academic programs are the lifeblood of any college or university. If an institution is to succeed in fulfilling its mission, it will need to do so through the quality, relevance, and impact of its educational offerings.
