Under the direction of Dr. Meyer, Chancellor, Michigan’s Oakland Community College (OCC) has created and tested a method to measure and meet needs in their community. Using this method—outlined in a recently published article in the Community College Journal of Research and Practice—OCC has a reliable framework and formula for program planning decisions.
Farm to Bistro, a new program at Tompkins Cortland Community College, is designed to help culinary sustainable farming and wine marketing students understand the full breadth of the food system – from seed to plate. The program exists, in part, because TC3 was able to use data gathered from Emsi’s Analyst tool to win over $2 million of grant money from the state of New York.
Career Coach, EMSI’s latest product that connects students and jobseekers to local careers and training, has seen good growth over the past year. The tool, which has been implemented by colleges, universities, workforce agencies, and other community groups, is now used in 28 states, and we’re excited about the success stories and feedback we’ve received.
