We’re excited to announce that later this summer we’ll begin to incorporate real-time job posting activity in Analyst, our web-based labor market research tool. We’ve carefully reviewed how best to include job posting analytics in our tools. Our goal is to provide the best and most current data for decision-making and analysis, and we’re eager to hear your feedback as we roll out this new data.
A new study looks at Apple’s contribution to economic growth, and bases some of the results on job postings. We look at some of the potential issues with using job postings data this way.
Real-time data gives a glimpse into current trends based primarily on recent want ads and a database of résumés. Traditional data, on the other hand, includes past trends and projections on hundreds of standardized industries and occupations, all of which have been collected for decades.
