Another of my series of
trying to drink mixed drinks coming from a can.
Let’s hope that this is going better than the ones that I’ve been doing lately.
Let’s see how a Moscow Mule works in a can.
Oh, I’m already excited.
It’s got carbonation.
Please don’t be disappointing.
Oh, this is really good.
We have a winner.
I like this one.
Hi, it’s Ron again, back in the studio.
This is a special Beer with Emsi for the staffing industry.
Today, I want to talk to you about mining for gold.
Yes, you heard me right, gold!
In 1849 at the height of the gold rush, there were two things gold miners needed.
They needed a reference of where to look to even have a small chance of it hitting it big, and they needed something to sift through all of the dirt to find the gold within the debris.
Even when they had the right information in the right tools, they would spend endless time searching.
Now imagine, instead of guessing, the miners had an expert in their back pocket telling them where to look and how much gold they’d find.
And instead of sifting, blah,
and instead of a sifting pan.
All right, let’s try this again.
And instead of a sifting pan, they had a metal detector pulling all the gold to the surface.
Sounds like a game changer, right?
Well, if you’re in staffing right now, you probably feel a lot like the gold miners from 1849.
You spend your days trying to find and sift through job postings, or what we call reqs in the staffing industry, in search of ones to place people in.
Your long exhausting search process needs a serious update.
Well, I’m excited to announce that your metal detector is here, and it’s a powerful tool we call SmartReq.
Think of SmartReq as your personal staffing advisor,
that can help you find the golden reqs
and actually win them.
Here’s how it works.
You tell it what types of jobs you’re looking to fill.
SmartReq instantly finds open job postings that you,
the recruiter, would be great at filling with candidates.
So why is this tool different?
What makes it so smart, anyway?
That was a good run, man.
– [Cameraman] Good run, man.
I probably never went that long without messing up.
I credit the copper can bringing me this super power.
Okay, on the backend, SmartReq
is constantly grading how challenging these jobs will be for you to fill, so that you can decide, one, if the req is worth your time, and two, how can you change the req to make it worth your time?
Let me show you what I mean.
It’s my product.
Why can’t I say the name?
SmartReq looks at the supply, demand, wage, and competition data surrounding each and every job posting, and scores how difficult it would be for you to find someone to fill the job.
Say your client tasked you with filling a job, and SmartReq says that because there is low supply of people with those particular skills, and the wage is below the median, it will be extremely difficult.
You can take that objective reasoning back to your client to explain why they should change the details of the req before you go out and waste time trying to fill it.
And that is why SmartReq is your lead-generating and qualifying weapon.
At the end of the day, your time is valuable, and you shouldn’t have to be an economist to understand the data that matters to you.
So ditch the mining pan, and get smart with SmartReq.
This is Ron, with my Moscow Mule in a can.
And it’s really good.
I will say that the smell of it tastes like cleaner fluid.
